[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7972, March 30, 1995 ]
AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN JOSE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JOSE, PROVINCE OF CAMARINES SUR, INTO A POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN JOSE POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The San Jose High School in the Municipality of San Jose, Province of Camarines Sur, shall be converted into a polytechnic institute, under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), to be known as the San Jose Polytechnic Institute, hereinafter referred to as the Institute .
SEC. 2. The Institute, in addition to its secondary offerings, shall offer post-secondary programs as well as short-term technical and vocational courses, subject to the policies of the CHED.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the San Jose High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 16, 1994 and February 15, 1995, respectively.
