AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE PHILIPPINE CHARITY SWEEPSTAKE OFFICE TO HOLD ANNUALLY ONE SPECIAL SWEEPSTAKE RACE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES AND ANOTHER FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PHILIPPINE AMATEUR ATHLETIC FEDERATION.
Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:
SECTION 1. The Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office is authorized to hold annually one special sweepstake horse race the whole proceeds of which shall, after deducting the payment of the prizes and expenses as provided in Act Numbered Forty-one hundred thirty, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered Five hundred forty-six, be turned over to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines for its support and expenses. Said Office is likewise authorized to hold annually another special sweepstake horse race the whole proceeds of which shall, after making the aforesaid deduction for the payment of the prizes and the expenses, be turned over to die Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation for its support and expenses. In either special sweepstake horse race, the prizes for winning horses and horses placed second and third shall be in direct proportion to the three main prizes for winning tickets and shall be ten per cent thereof, but in no case shall the total amount of said prizes exceed fifty thousand pesos.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
