AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE FIRST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT IN THE PROVINCE OF SAMAR INTO A SEPARATE HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICT, AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The first congressional district in the Province of Samar is hereby constituted into a separate highway engineering district to be known as the First Highway Engineering District of the Province of Samar. It shall be composed of the City of Calbayog and the municipalities of Sto Niño, Almagro, Tagapul-an, Sta. Margarita, Pagsanjan, Tarangnan, Gandara, San Jorge, and Matuguinao.
SEC. 2. The office of said highway engineering district shall be located in Calbayog City, and shall have a highway district engineer and such other personnel as may be necessary, who shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
