[ Act No. 534, November 25, 1902 ]
AN ACT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEES IN THE BUREAU OF THE PHILIPPINES CONSTABULARY.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. The Chief of the Philippines Constabulary is hereby authorized to employ six clerks of Class A, the same to be furnished by the Civil Service Board under the rules of the Civil Service Law.
SEC. 2. The Chief of the Bureau of Philippine Constabulary is hereby authorized to employ in the division of information, in addition to the superintendent and four inspectors now allowed by law, the following: One assistant superintendent at the rate of one thousand eight hundred dollars a year, one inspector of class one at the rate of one thousand five hundred dollars a year, one inspector of class two at the rate of one thousand two hundred dollars a year, two inspectors of class three at the rate of one thousand and eighty dollars a year each, two inspectors of class four at the rate of nine hundred and sixty dollars a year each, two inspectors of class five at the rate of eight hundred and forty dollars a year each, three inspectors of class six at the rate of seven hundred and twenty dollars a year each, four inspectors of class eight at the rate of three hundred and sixty dollars a year each, and two messengers at the rate of one hundred and fifty dollars a year each, all in money of the United States. The employees authorized under this section shall be appointed by the Chief of the Bureau and not be subject to the rules of the Civil Service Law.
SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SEC. 4. This act shall take effect on its passage.
