AN ACT SEPARATING THE GADU ANNEX HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY SAMPAGUITA FROM THE GADU HIGH SCHOOL BOTH IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOLANA, PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS SAMPAGUITA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Gadu Annex High School in Barangay Sampaguita, Municipality of Solana, Province of Cagayan shall, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, be separated from the Gadu High School, in the same municipality and converted into an independent national high school, to be known as Sampaguita National High School.
SEC. 2. The incumbent head of the Gadu Annex High School, if qualified under the rules and regulations of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, shall be the officer-in- charge of the Sampaguita National High School pending appointment of a permanent principal.
SEC. 3. All assets, fixed and movable, records and personnel of the Gadu Annex High School as well as its liabilities, are hereby transferred to the Sampaguita National High School: Provided, that the positions, rights and security of tenure of the personnel therein employed under existing laws prior to its separation shall not be impaired.
SEC. 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Approved, Lapsed into law on November 27, 1997, without the signature of the President, in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
