DEPUTATION OF THE REGIONAL HEALTH DIRECTORS AND THE ASSISTANT REGIONAL HEALTH DIRECTORS AS AGENTS OF THE BOARD TO APPROVE APPLICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF DDB FORM NO. 8-72 (FOR LOCAL PURCHASE)



Pursuant to its powers under Section 36(a) of Republic Act No. 6425, as amended, the Dangerous Drugs Board hereby prescribes the following regulation:

SECTION 1.       For the purposes of Board Regulation No. 6-A S. 1989, all Regional Health Directors are hereby deputized to approve applications for the purchase of DDB Form No. 8-72 (for Local Purchase) for dispensing of Morphine or Pethidine exclusively for cancer patients within their respective areas of jurisdiction.  In the absence of the Regional Health Director, the Assistant Regional Health Director shall approve such applications.

SECTION 2.       Before approving any application for the purchase of DDB Form No. 8-72, the Regional Health Director or in his absence the Assistant Regional Health Director as the case may, be shall see to it that the procedure laid down in Board Regulation No. 6 S. 1989 has been strictly complied with.

SECTION 3.       This Regulation shall take effect after the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette and once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation, whichever is earlier.
