In view of the varying prices of commercial palay by district/region and in line with the government intervention of providing seed assistance, the procurement of certified palay seeds intended for distribution to qualified farmer-recipients shall be based on the following options, whichever is higher:

a) P6.50 per bag of 40 kilogram-bag;

b) Sixty percent (60%) over and above the prevailing commercial and or farm gate price of palay in the respective locality.

Farm gate prices shall be determined by the Regional Director in consultation with their NFA counterparts.

This order supersedes all other issuances inconsistent herewith.
