DSWD ADVISORY BOARD
The DSWD Advisory Board is hereby created to assist the Secretary in the review of the vision, mission and functions of the Department in light of the devolution of its implementing function to local government units, assist in its restructuring, as well as in the formulation of policies and in the crafting of strategies which will enable DSWD to make a difference in the context of its revised mandate.
1. The Advisory Board shall be composed of not more than seven (7) social welfare and social development experts to be appointed by the Secretary from non-government, professional and religious organizations.
2. Its specific functions shall be as follows:
3. The Advisory Board shall have a term of one year starting November 1992 until October 1993.
4. The Board shall hold regular monthly meetings attendance to which shall entitle the Chairman and members to an honorarium of P500.00 and P400.00 per meeting respectively.

2.3. To serve as a feedback mechanism on the work that DSWD is doing.
2.4. To recommend policies and innovative strategies/ approaches to enhance social welfare and development services and enable the Department to carry out its functions effectively.
2.5. To perform other related tasks assigned by the Secretary.
