FOREIGN ADOPTION PLACEMENT COMMITTEE
A Foreign Adoption Placement Committee is hereby created to assist the Secretary in the adoptive placement of Filipino children abroad.
1. It shall be composed of not less than five (5) child welfare specialists from various disciplines appointed by the Secretary to carry out an integrated system and network of selecting and matching a child in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
2. The specific functions are as follows:
3. The Foreign Adoption Placement Committee shall meet at least twice a month and may be called to special meetings as the need arises. The PIAU shall act as the Secretariat.
4. The Committee members shall have a term of one year and may be renewed for another year.
5. The members are entitled to reasonable transportation allowance to be determined by the Secretary.

2.1. Assists in the review of foreign adoption home studies and child studies;
2.2. Selects/matches children and recommends placements for intercountry adoption in collaboration with the representatives of child-caring agencies and the Philippine Intercountry Adoption Unit (PIAU);
2.3 Assists in the review of disrupted cases and special cases and recommends appropriate action;
2.4 Recommends new policies, procedures, guidelines and standards in child care and placement as well as amendments to existing ones;
2.2. Selects/matches children and recommends placements for intercountry adoption in collaboration with the representatives of child-caring agencies and the Philippine Intercountry Adoption Unit (PIAU);
2.3 Assists in the review of disrupted cases and special cases and recommends appropriate action;
2.4 Recommends new policies, procedures, guidelines and standards in child care and placement as well as amendments to existing ones;
2.5 Advocates the promotion of children's rights which includes social legislation, generation of resources to implement programs/projects on child care and placement and child welfare in general;
