[ DOH QUARANTINE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 3, March 11, 1950 ]

DESIGNATION OF A NEW QUARANTINE ANCHORAGE IN SAN FERNANDO HARBOR



Pursuant to the provisions of Section 79(B) of the Revised Administrative Code and Section 7 of Republic Act No. 123, there are designated hereunder the boundaries of a new quarantine anchorage in the San Fernando Harbor (La Union) and the rules and regulations covering the use of such anchorage are hereby promulgated for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1.      Boundaries - Beginning at the intersection of two imaginary lines one from San Fernando Lighthouse 55 (true), and from the Front Range Beacon 335 (true), approximate position latitude 16-38 00N., longitude 120-18-13E., thence 90 true, 365 yards to approximate position latitude 16-38-00N., longitude 120-18-25E., thence 180 true, 1280 yards to approximate position latitude 16-37-21N, longitude 120-18-25E., thence 270 true. 800 yards to approximate position latitude 16-37-21N., longitude 120-18-00 E., thence 18-1/2 true, 1360 yards to the intersection of two imaginary lines, the point of commencement.

2.      Rules and Regulations -

a.       All vessels subject to quarantine inspection shall drop anchor within the limits of this anchorage and await quarantine inspection.

b.       Any vessel subject to quarantine inspection anchoring in an area in the San Fernando Harbor outside the quarantine anchorage may not be cleared from quarantine until such vessel shall proceed within the limits of the anchorage.

c.       A vessel subject to quarantine measures may not be allowed to leave the quarantine anchorage until given a free pratique by the Quarantine Officer.
