CLARIFICATORY GUIDELINES TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR #5 (1986)[*] ON THE ADJUSTMENT IN RATES OF COMPENSATION



Please be informed that the increased rates for total permanent disability/death compensation fixed by Memorandum Circular No 5 (1986) applies to the schedule of impediment allowance specified in Appendix I-A of the Standard Employment Contract for seamen.  Accordingly the amounts of P250,000.00 (Master and Chief Engineer), P210,000.00 (other officers including Radio Operators and Master Electricians) and P170,000.00 (ratings), shall be used as the maximum rate in the computation of disability allowances.
