[ PRC BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS RESOLUTION NO. 186-A, SERIES OF 1996, July 18, 1996 ]
PRESCRIBING THE PASSING GENERAL AVERAGE RATING OF AN EXAMINEE IN THE SUPERINTENDENTS EXAMINATION
In Resolution No. 186 issued on July 18, 1996, the Board assumed the function of holding and administering the examination for Superintendents of Schools and set the first examination under the Board on July 28, 1996.
Section 6(g) of P.D. 223, as amended (the decree creating the Professional Regulation Commission), provides that subject to the approval of the Commission, Professional Regulatory Boards (in this case the Board for Professional Teachers) may determine the passing general average rating if not provided for in the law regulating the profession.
WHEREFORE, consistent with the policy of the Professional Regulation Commission to upgrade the competence of professionals and to raise the standards of the practice of the professions within its jurisdiction, the Board hereby adopts and promulgates the rule that to pass the licensure examination for School Superintendents, an examinee must obtain a general average rating of at least seventy-five (75%) percent with no rating below fifty (50%) percent in any subject.
This rule shall be applicable starting with the July 28, 1996 Superintendents Examination.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
