AMENDMENT TO THE HORSE RACING RULES AND REGULATIONS



Please be informed that the Philracom Board in its meeting held last Monday, February 28, 2005 resolved to amend the following provisions of the Horse Racing Rules and Regulations, to wit:

 

Old Rule:  

 

PR.117 Eligibility of Entries - Horses in order to be eligible as entries:

 
 

a. Must be two (2) years old based from Northern Hemisphere breeding;

New Rule:  

 

PR. 117. Eligibility of Entries - Horses in order to be eligible as entries:

 
 

a. ALTHOUGH WE ARE ON THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE BREEDING SEASON, HORSES TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RUN MUST BE TWO (2) YEARS OLD BASED ON ACTUAL DATE OF FOALING.

Old Rule:  

 

PR. 119. Imported Horses - Imported horses may be allowed by PHILRACOM to participate in races held in the Philippines on the following conditions.

  c. Shall only be allowed to run for a period of not more than three (3) years from its first official race for a purse in the Philippines or upon reaching the age of seven (7) years from actual date of foaling, whichever comes first April 19, 2002.

 
 

New Rule:

  c. SHALL BE ALLOWED TO RUN FOR A PURSE AND UPON REACHING THE AGE OF SEVEN WILL BE RETIRED FOR BREEDING.

 

This amendment shall take effect fifteen days after compliance of the required publication.
