CONTRACT TIME EXTENSION DUE TO SCARCITY OF CEMENT
Pursuant to Clause CY 10 (5) of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of P.D. No. 1594 which recognizes shortage of construction materials as ground for extension of time the scarcity of cement that was publicly felt since February 1992, may be a basis for extension of contract time due to scarcity of cement may be granted subject to the following conditions:
1. That the delay is due to the shortage of the cement as certified by the contractor and verified by the District/Project Engineer;
2. That the contract time extensions are limited only to those work items involving cement which are along the critical path of activities per approved PERT/CPM and
3. That all other provisions of P.D. No. 1594-Implementing Rules and Regulations are complied with
4. The approving authority of contract time extension shall be the official whoever approved the particular contract.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
