[ DPWH DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 152, July 24, 1990 ]
MONITORING OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AFFECTING DRAINAGE MAINS
In order to minimize if not prevent flooding along highways and local streets it is directed that in the issuance of Building Permits the following conditions shall be attached:
1. The contractor or in-charge of construction shall provide a sump/silt chamber or debris trap within the construction site to contain the water with silt and debris before discharging to the existing catch basin or site inlet.
2. Water from construction site including local run-off shall be discharged at or near a catch basin or side inlet and not on road pavements, street curbs, and gutters.
3. The contractor or in-charge of construction shall have the catch basin or side inlet checked before and after the day's work for any silt or debris that might still have come from the construction site and have the same removed.
4. Damages to private and public properties/utilities due to flooding from construction work shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor.
Construction activities shall be monitored from time to time to ensure that the conditions are complied with. Violation of the conditions shall be grounds for the revocation of the permit.
For compliance.
