This Circular is to correct the perception that the rate of discount in the purchase of medicine is variable due to the Section D of MC # 4 s. 1994. It states "a minimum of twenty percent (20%)", instead of flat rate of twenty percent (20%).

Pursuant to Section 4 of RA 7432, a senior citizen shall be entitled to a 20% discount in the purchase of medicine anywhere in the country.
