[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 95-007, June 14, 1995 ]
BAN ON PORNOGRAPHIC VIDEO TAPES/FILMS IN PASSENGER BUSES
Complaints have been received from concerned citizens and foreigners about the showing of pornographic video tapes and/or violent films which includes nudity, explicit violence and extremely offensive and profane language on board passenger buses. This practice, if not curtailed, tends to offend the sensibilities of normal viewers, especially minors, whose moral values may easily be corrupted by lewd shows and violent films that pander to the prurient mind and baser instinct of man.
In view hereof, the Board resolves, as it is hereby resolved, to ban the exhibition of all pornographic video tapes and/or violent films which include nudity, explicit violence and extremely offensive and profane language on board passenger buses. Operators are directed to enjoin their employees to strictly comply with this Circular. Failure to comply will be dealt with accordingly.
This Memorandum Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the U.P. Law Center, in accordance with Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated October 9, 1992.
