[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8316, June 30, 1997 ]
AN ACT UPGRADING THE COTABATO REGIONAL HOSPITAL IN COTABATO CITY INTO A MEDICAL CENTER TO BE KNOWN AS THE COTABATO REGIONAL AND MEDICAL CENTER, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Cotabato Regional Hospital in Cotabato City is hereby upgraded into a medical center, correspondingly increasing its bed capacity to four hundred (400) beds, under the supervision of the Department of Health, to be known as the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center.
SEC. 2. The Department of Health shall issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Lapsed into law on June 30, 1997 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27 (1), Article VI of the Constitution.
