[ BC CUSTOMS MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 18-96C, August 21, 1996 ]
CONTAINERIZED SHIPMENTS SUBJECT TO EXAMINATION
Further to CMO's 18-96. 18-96A and 18-96B, the following instructions are hereby issued for the strict observance by ail concerned.
1.0 Only the following containerized shipments shall be subjected to examination:
1.1 Those containerized shipments selected by Asycuda Selectivity, the number of which shall be governed by the square root rule.
1 2 Those alerted/held pursuant to CMO 104-92.
2.0 CMO 96-92 is hereby recalled. Shipments exempted from examination under CMO 96-92 but selected for examination by Selectivity System shall now be subject to examination. Shipments disqualified from non-examination under CMO 96-92 shall not be examined unless selected under the Selectivity System except alerted/held shipments which shall continue to be subject to examination as in 1.2 above.
3.0 The Greenlane Clearance Process under CMO 37-94 is also hereby recalled. The only green lane channel allowed is the clearance process for shipments selected green by the Selectivity System.
4.0 All Orders inconsistent with this order are hereby deemed amended or modified accordingly.
5.0 This Order shall take effect immediately.
