TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LIMITED ACCREDITATION TO EXPORT MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS FROM INDIA



WHEREAS, The Department of Agriculture Evaluation Team to India after thorough review of the documents submitted by HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD. found that HIND has not fully satisfied the requirements to prove that they have finished the construction of all the necessary facilities;

WHEREAS, The Philippine Evaluation Team also found that the inconsistencies in the documents submitted by Hind Agro Industrial, Ltd. as to the status of Foot and Mouth Disease in Uttar Pradesh, have substantially affected the validity of the issuance of Accreditation given to it;

WHEREAS, In filing its application, Hind Agro Industrial, Ltd. made use insidious machinations through misrepresentations in the documentation requirements submitted without which the former Secretary of Agriculture would not have granted the Accreditation;

WHEREAS, The National Meat Inspection Commission (NMIC) and the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) recommend the temporary suspension of Hind Agro Industries, Ltd. Accreditation.

NOW THEREFORE, I, WILLIAM D. DAR, Acting Secretary of Agriculture, do hereby issue this ORDER for the Temporary Suspension of HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES, LTD. Accreditation to export frozen meat and meat products from India until such time that clearance is issued after proper validation and evaluation.

All orders, rules and regulations or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
