ACCREDITATION OF HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LIMITED TO EXPORT MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS FROM INDIA



Whereas, after a thorough review of the documentations submitted by HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD. on the status of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) in the State of Uttar Pradesh, they were able to clarify the issue of conflicting documents earlier submitted by their company, and it was found that they can comply with the animal health requirements set in the guidelines on importation of buffalo meat to the Philippines;

Whereas, HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES, LTD. submitted documents to prove that they have an operational laboratory that can handle to test the meat being processed for export and that they have also complied with the construction of other facilities asked by the Philippine Evaluation Team to India;

Whereas, although there is a need to visit their plant to verify the claims made, existing documents they have furnished this Office may warrant for their provisional accreditation;

Whereas, the National Meat Inspection Commission (NMIC) and the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) recommend for the issuance of provisional accreditation to HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD. pending actual visit of their meat plant;

NOW THEREFORE, I, WILLIAM D. DAR, Secretary of Agriculture, do hereby issue this ORDER for PROVISIONAL ACCREDITATION of HIND AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD. to export fresh frozen meat and meat products from India.

All order, rules and regulations or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
