SCHEDULE OF SERVICE, STORAGE AND OTHER CHARGES ON ARTICLES/MERCHANDISE STORED AT CUSTOMS BONDED WAREHOUSE NO. 36 OPERATED BY U-FREIGHT PHILS., INC. AT THE MACTAN-CEBU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT COMPLEX
By authority of Section 608 in relation to Section 1909 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended, and in line with the Bureau's policy to standardize various charges and fees for operations affecting imported cargoes before actual delivery to the importer/consignee, and taking into consideration the present economic conditions and the facilities provided by the Operator, the service, storage and other charges/fees at CBW No. 36 operated by U-Freight Phils. Inc., at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Complex, shall be based on the following prescribed rates:
The free storage period for all general cargoes shall, unless otherwise specified, be three (3) days exclusive of the first Saturday, Sunday or non-working Holiday, commencing at 8:00 A.M. of the day following the day of entry of the cargo into the warehouse, which may be availed of until the sixth day of storage. This means that if cargoes are withdrawn after the sixth day, said privilege is deemed forfeited, and computation of storage charges starts from the date of arrival or entry into the warehouse.
All cargoes not included in the list of special cargo enumerated below are considered general cargo.
B. Special Cargo:
1. Baggage and Personal Effects - kinds of shipments that are treated with special care and for storage at special locations.
2. Perishables - shipments which are marked or indicated in the inward cargo manifest (ICM), Air Waybill (AWB) and/or labeled in the packages as such and requiring storage under specified temperatures, including aquatic products.
3. Valuable Cargo - shipments which are marked or indicated in the ICM, AWB and/or labeled on the packages as Valuables.
4. Restricted Articles and Dangerous Cargo - flammables, explosives, radio-active materials/substances and all corrosive substances, including acids, etc.
5. Livestocks and Plants - live animal and fowls and plants which need special attention and feeding.
6. Human Remains - caskets containing human remains.
Shipments to be released from the warehouse outside of the normal 0800H to 1700H customs release period during regular working days, and any time during Saturdays, Sundays and non-working Holidays.
B. Deconsolidation Fee:
A charge designed to compensate the warehouse Operator for the extra effort of physically breakbulking and individually checking a consolidation shipment against the consolidation manifest to ensure completeness of the shipments.
C. Returned Shipment Fee:
A charge formulated to compensate the warehouse Operator for the additional task of rechecking, retaping and restoring a shipment which was originally released from the warehouse for customs examination but was not cleared for final release by the Collector of Customs for some reasons, and consequently returned to the warehouse for safekeeping.
Only twenty-five percent (25%) of the increase in the rates granted herein shall be initially implemented during the first six (6) months from date of effectivity of this Order, and the full fifty percent (50%) increase or new rates to be implemented only after the expiration of the (6) months transition period.
All orders and other issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby impliedly repealed or modified accordingly.
This Order shall take effect after its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation as required by law.
