Attached for your information and ready reference is a letter dated November 26, 1997 informing the Bureau the requesting of SGS Pre-Shipment Inspection (SGS-PSI) your importations of materials and equipment which are needed for the construction of Mindanao Phase 2 Geothermal Power Plant Project.

We refer to your letter dated 15 September 1997 requesting from SGS Pre-Shipment Inspection (SGS-PSI) your importations of materials and equipment which are needed for the construction of Mindanao Phase 2 Geothermal Power Plant Project.
Please be informed that in view of the favorable recommendation of the Department of Energy in its letter dated 13 November 1997, your request is hereby granted pursuant to Section 3(o) of Amended Joint Order No. 1-91 implementing the Global Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme (CISS) which reads:

Please be informed that in view of the favorable recommendation of the Department of Energy in its letter dated 13 November 1997, your request is hereby granted pursuant to Section 3(o) of Amended Joint Order No. 1-91 implementing the Global Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme (CISS) which reads:
"3. The following importations are exempt from the requirement inspection:
o. importations of equipment, machinery, spare parts, and other materials for oil, coal, mining and geothermal operations imported by petroleum, geothermal and coal service contractors pursuant to PD Nos. 87, 529, 972 and 1442 as certified by the Office of Energy Affairs."
