[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-007, March 29, 2004 ]
IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES OF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 2004-12, DATED 17 MARCH 2004
Implementing Guidelines for taxis extending their minimum age requirement from ten (10) years to thirteen (13) years reckoned from their date of manufacture pursuant to Department Order No. 2004-12, dated 17 March 2004, issued by Hon. Leandro R. Mendoza, Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communications, which amended DOTC Department Order No. 96-965.
In consonance with said Department Order No. 2004-12, this Board shall now accept Applications/Petitions for Extension of Validity of Certificate of Public Convenienve using taxi units with year models 1992 to 1994. As such, the expiration scheme of taxi units is provided hereunder:
The scheme provided shall also be the guide for taxi units with 1995 and above year models.
In no case shall an authorized unit be substituted by a unit with older year model.
Any and all issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby modified and/or superseded.
This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.

Taxi units with 1994 year model shall expire on 31 December 2007.
