DFA WARNS FILIPINOS IN JAPAN AGAINST THE USE OF DRUGS

The Department of Foreign affairs gave an ultimatum to Filipinos in Japan against the use of prohibited drugs. This warning was issued following the release by the Japanese government of a report on the rising number of Filipinos caught in this nefarious activity.

In this connection, the DFA, revealed that there are many Filipinos involved in the trafficking of drugs and use of shabu. Said drugs are being sent through the mails and parcels.

The government of Japan threatened that no one involved in this international menace will be spared. On the other hand, the most severe penalty like capital punishment will be imposed.

Japan advised the Philippine government to take the necessary precaution in dealing with this problem to prevent it from getting worse.

All PDOS entities are enjoined to disseminate this information to the departing OFWs and/or overseas performing artists (OPAS)
