REGISTRATION OF CHOP-CHOP MOTOR VEHICLES ASSEMBLED BY IMPORTERS/DEALERS
Accredited importers/dealers of chop-chop motor vehicles which are usually backyard assemblers request to register these vehicles in the region where their areas of business or operations are located.
In view hereof, registration of chop-chop motor vehicles by accredited importers/dealers may be registered in the region where their area of business or operation with the following guidelines:
1. The Regional Office shall designate one (1) district office to register chop-chop motor vehicles in the region;
2. If the importer/dealer is submitting its stock report in the region, the confirmations for the engine and chassis shall be issued by the regional office valid only within the confirming region;
3. The confirmation for the BOC CP s of engine and chassis and the BIR clearance shall be issued by the Registration Section, Central Office;
4. A monthly report shall be submitted by the Regional Offices to the Registration Section, Central Office for monitoring and reconciliation of records.
All prior issuance in conflict herewith are hereby amended.
