IMPLEMENTATION OF IMO UNIQUE COMPANY AND REGISTERED OWNERS IDENTIFICATION NUMBER SCHEME



Notice is hereby given that the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) is adopting the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Maritime Safety Committee Resolution No. 160(78) adopted on 20 May 2004 (copy attached* ) on the implementation of the IMO unique company and registered owner identification number scheme.

The IMO unique company and registered owner identification number should be inserted on the following documents.

1. Document of Compliance; Safety Management Certificate; Interim Document of Compliance; and Interim Safety Management Certificate required by the International Safety Management Code;

2. Continuous Synopsis Record required by the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, as amended, Chapter XI-1, regulation 5; and

3. Interim International Ship Security Certificate, required by SOLAS, Chapter XI-1, Part A, Appendices 1 and 2.

All affected parties are hereby advised to secure amended ship ™s document/s from the MARINA as soon as possible to avoid any delays of the ship by the Port State Control authorities.

This Advisory shall take effect immediately.
