STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF BAN ON IMPORT OF PROHIBITED PRODUCTS, OIL BUNKERING AND OTHER ACTS AT THE PORTS OF NIGERIA
Please be informed that in view of Nigeria's strict implementation of banning the import of prohibited products, oil bunkering and such other acts which are considered as economic crimes, a number of arrests and incarceration of seafarers and detention of foreign ships on these charges have been made therein.
All concerned are hereby advised to inform all Filipino crew on board ships bound for Nigeria, and all Philippine-registered ships plying Nigeria sea ports, to be more circumspect in their documentations of the ships and cargoes.
