[ LTO MEMORANDUM, November 20, 1992 ]

OFFICIAL RECEIPT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT TO A VALID CREDIT-CARD TYPE LICENSE

This Office received numerous complaints from drivers/licensees who are holders of credit-card type license that they are still required to present the Official Receipt before their licenses are honored by most Traffic Law Enforcers and by some LTO district office personnel.

In view thereof, our Memorandum dated May 7, 1986 is hereby reiterated œthat as long as the credit card type license is not expired the same is valid and need not be accompanied by its Official Receipt.   However, Driver ™s License Receipt (DLR) which serves as temporary license is valid only for sixty (60) days unless otherwise extended.

Previous orders and/or memorandum which are in conflict herewith are hereby deemed superseded.
