REGULATING AND PRESCRIBING FEES FOR THE USE OF FACILITIES INSIDE NATIONAL PARKS AND OTHER PROTECTED AREAS
Pursuant to Section 56 of Presidential Decree 705, Section 5 (b) of Executive Order No. 192 and in order to regulate the use of facilities inside the National Parks and other protected areas, the following regulations are hereby promulgated for the guidance of all concerned:
SECTION 1. Basic Policy - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) hereby adopts the following policies on the use of facilities inside National Parks and other protected areas:
1. The use of facilities inside national parks/protected areas shall be regulated.
2. Fees and charges shall be collected for entry into and use of certain facilities inside national parks and other protected areas.
SECTION 2. Fees and Charges - The following fees and charges shall be imposed on certain facilities:
1. Entrance fee in the amount of Two Pesos and Fifty Centavos (P2.50) shall be collected from each visitor except children less than 75 cm. (or 2.5 feet) in height or below five years old, senior citizens who are sixty-five years old or over, and handicapped persons.
2. For Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center (NAPWNC), the following entrance fees shall be collected from each visitor:
3. Entrance fee for specific areas such as Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, EL Nido Marine Reserve, St. Paul Subterranean River National Park and Mt. Pulog National Park shall P300.00 or US$10.00 for foreign nationals and P50.00 for local visitors.
SECTION 3. Use of Other Facilities - For other facilities and activities or use, the following fees and charges shall be:
SECTION 4. Mode of Collection - The following procedures shall be observed in the collection of fees:
4.1 Entrance fee shall be collected from visitors upon entry at designated gates of the park. Corresponding tickets shall be issued for such fees.
4.2 Charges for facility use and services shall be collected upon reservation and corresponding official receipt shall be issued for such payments.
4.3 Payments of fees and charges shall be made on cash basis only. No personal checks or credit cards shall be honored.
SECTION 5. Collection Responsibilities - The following shall be responsible for the collection of fees:
5.1 The Secretary or his duty authorized representatives shall monitor the collection of revenues.
5.2 For the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center (NAPWNC), the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau Director shall:
SECTION 6. Issuance of Visitor s Permit - A Visitor s permit shall be required prior to entry in national parks or other protected areas without designated or developed outdoor recreation zones.
Visitor s permits shall be issued by the Regional Director or his duly authorized representative in accordance with the prescribed format, upon payment of visitor s fee.
SECTION 7. Repealing Clause - This Order supersedes all Department Orders, Circulars and/or Memoranda inconsistent herewith.
SECTION 8. Effectivity - This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) calendar days after its publication in a newspaper of national circulation.

- recommend approval of management plan;
- collect, and account such revenues collected to the Office of the Secretary;
- prepare and submit, to the Office of the Secretary, quarterly reports of revenue collections and remittances to the National Treasury.
- designate one Collecting Officer for each park where there are existing facilities and amenities;
- prepare and submit, to the Office of the Secretary, quarterly reports of revenue collections and remittances to the National Treasury.
