CLAIMS FOR OLD-AGE PENSION DUE THE ESTATE OF DECEASED VETERANS OR THEIR SPOUSES
1. Old-age pension under the provisions of Sections 10 and 11, Republic Act No. 6948, and Sections 44 and 45, Department of National Defense Order No. A-049, c.s., due the estate of a deceased veteran or his widow shall be claimed in due form by his/her legal heirs in the following cases:

The prescribed forms (PVAO Form No. 90-03-A OV and PVAO Form No. 90-03-A OW) for the claims referred to hereinabove, which are appended hereto and hereby made part of these supplementary guidelines, shall be provided the claimants concerned for accomplishment and submission to the Office together with the supporting documents indicated therein. In the case, however, of claims filed in other forms substantially approximating the ones herein prescribed, it shall be deemed sufficient compliance with the requirements of the Office; provided, however, that the claimants concerned be required to submit the supporting documents indicated in the prescribed forms.
4. The term widow used hereinabove shall be construed to mean or include the term widower pursuant to the definition of surviving spouse under Section 2-(j) of Republic Act No. 6948 and Section 2-1 of Department of National Defense Order No. A-049, c.s.
