[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2003-029, November 27, 2003 ]

DEADLINE TO FILE APPLICATION/PETITION FOR EXTENSION OF VALIDITY OF A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE (CPC)



All holders of a Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) shall file their Application/Petition for Extension of Validity of CPC within a six month period prior to its expiry date, unless there is a justifiable reason for an earlier extension as may be solely determined by this Board.

Failure to file said Application/Petition within the aforesaid period of six (6) months shall render the CPC automatically cancelled and revoked upon its expiration. Thereafter, no Petition/Application for Extension of Validity and/or Motion to Accept Late Filing shall be accepted by the Board.

The provisions of this Board's Memorandum Circular 2003-003 shall remain in full force and effect. Further, holders of CPCs expiring within six (6) months from the effectivity of this circular shall have until 15 June 2004 to file the Application/Petition for Extension of Validity of their CPCs.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation or the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.
