Pursuant to the provisions of Act 3846, as amended by Commonwealth Act No. 571, Executive Order No. 546, and in order to promote and enhance the amateur radio service in the Philippines and to conform with the standards of International Radio Regulations, Section IV-4.4.1 (Code Test) of the above-mentioned subject Circular which provides that:

CODE Test Speed Requirements:                                 

Class "A"	-	12 words per minute
Class "B"	-	8 words per minute
Class "C"	-	5 words per minute

is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Code Test Speed Requirement for Classes A, B or C shall be 5 words per minute."

This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation and the filing of three (3) certified copies hereof with the University of the Philippines Law Center.
