WHEREAS, the FPA Board APPROVED the FPA Rules and Regulation No. 1, Series of 1977, on July 1, 1977 with this first caption in page 1:

PURSUANT TO PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1144 PROMULGATED ON MAY 30, 1977, THE FERTILIZER AND PESTICIDE AUTHORITY HEREBY PROMULGATES AND ADOPTS THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS TO GOVERN THE IMPORTATION, MANUFACTURE, FORMULATION, REPACKING, DISTRIBUTION, SALE, STORAGE, AND USE OF PESTICIDES AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS IN THE INTEREST OF IMPROVING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION, PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENHANCING ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY.

NOW THEREFORE, upon motion made and duly seconded, the Board hereby RESOLVES to AMEND the above caption and incorporate this second caption in page 1 of the FPA Rules and Regulations No. 1, Series of 1977:

œFURTHER, THE FERTILIZER AND PESTICIDE AUTHORITY SHALL ALLOW WAYS AND MEANS TO REDUCE THE COSTS OF FERTILIZERS, PESTICIDES AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL CHEMICAL INPUTS BY PROVIDING MORE CHOICES AND ALTERNATIVES TO FARMERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS BY STREAMLINING AND RATIONALIZING ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS TO MAKE IT MORE COMPETITIVE IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY .

This Resolution shall take effect fifteen days after publication in one newspaper of general circulation.
