In connection with the implementation of PhilHealth Circular 31 s. 2010, under the Effect of Membership and Dependency, the following  are the exemptions on no survivorship entitlement:

a) Dependents of the deceased indigent members as stipulated in the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 7875, as amended by R.A. 9241, Rule-IV Section 27.

b) Qualfied dependents of deceased SSS pensioners prior to the effectivity of the Act on March 4, 1995, as stipulated in the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 7875, as amended by R.A. 9241, Rule-VII section 45.

Hence, the abovementioned exemptions shall continue to avail of PhilHealth benefits for the unexpired portion of the coverage, as stipulated in the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 7875, as amended by R.A. 9241.

All accredited health care providers are hereby enjoined to abide with the abovementioned rules and conditions.

All other issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

This Circular shall apply to all claims with admission dates effective January 1. 2011.
