[ BOC MEMORANDUM, September 17, 1999 ]
ALERT NOTICE
Further to the Memorandum * of the Commissioner of Customs dated 17 September 1999, please take note that on paragraphs B4 and D1, the necessary Alert Order to be issued by Operations Control Center (OPCON) will be issued only when a shipment remains outstanding in the list submitted by PID, ESS and CIIS after writing off the other shipment submitted by FED and IST of the respective ports.
As earlier discussed, all shipments coming from the high risk ports discussed (e.g. Fujian, Xiamen-China and Kaoshiung-Taiwan) are downgraded to Red Lane and are automatically subject to 100% examination, without any need for an Alert Notice.
