IMPOSITION OF P3.00 AIRMAIL FEE FOR ORDINARY, 2ND CLASS, AND 3RD CLASS MAIL MATTERS THAT WILL BE TRANSPORTED BY AIR
To cover our cost of operations and as approved by the Board of Directors, effective 16 December 2010 an airmail fee of P3.00 shall be charged on all ordinary, 2nd class and 3rd class mails that shall be transported by air.
The airmail fee shall be added to the postage rates as follows:
Please refer to the attached matrix* for the areas/regions that will be charged the additional P3.00.
Regional Directors, District Postal Managers, Postmasters and other supervisory officials are enjoined to give this order the widest dissemination.

The airmail fee shall be added to the postage rates as follows:
1. To inter-region rates when the mode of transport from one region to another is by air, e.g. regions in Luzon to Visayas or Mindanao and vice versa, regions in Visayas to Mindanao and vice versa.
Hence, a 20 g. letter from Reg. 3 going to Reg. 7 shall be charged P9.00 + P3.00 = P12.00.
2. To intra-region rates when the mode of transport is by air from the point of origin to the destination within the region, e.g. San Pablo City (Reg. 4) to Palawan (Reg. 4).
Hence, a 20 g. letter from San Pablo City to Palawan shall be charged P7.00 + P3.00 = P10.00.
3. The same shall be applied to 2nd class and 3rd class mails that are requested to be sent by air. In which case, the mail mattes shall be stamped via air mail and shall be affixed the correct postage.
