AN ACT ESTABLISHING A HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY MAT-I, MUNICIPALITY OF NAAWAN, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE MAT-I NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION. 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Mat-i, Municipality of Naawan, Province of Misamis Oriental, to be known as the Mat-i National High School.
SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 5, 1996 and November 17, 1997, respectively.
