Pursuant to the agreement during the Summit On Intervention to Address Piracy-Related Issues: A Tripartite Approach, held on January 8, 2010, at AMOSUP Convention Hall, and in compliance with Governing Board Resolution No. 5, and Memorandum Circular No. 12, both series of 2009, all manning agencies shall submit to POEA their module on anti-piracy awareness training for approval, not later than February 1, 2010.

Pending the issuance of a standard training module manning agencies may start conducting the training for their departing seafarers as soon as the submitted module is acknowledged by POEA.
