[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8602, March 21, 1998 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARATION OF THE POBLACION EXTENSION CLASS LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAUAYAN, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, FROM THE GUILJUNGAN BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAUAYAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Poblacion Extension Class located in the Municipality of Cauayan, Negros Occidental, is hereby separated from the Guiljungan Barangay High School, and shall henceforth be known as the Cauayan National High School.

SEC. 2. The Cauayan National High School shall be equipped with four (4) classrooms, one (1) home economics room, one (1) multipurpose workshop and provisions for one (1) administrative office.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.

SEC. 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Guiljungan Barangay High School-Poblacion Extension Class. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Cauayan National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
