In addition to the training certificate prescribed under paragraphs 3 and 4 of Memorandum Circular No. 14, Series of 1997, the attached samples of certificate of completion for the Basic Safety Courses (BSC) hereunder prescribed below shall be used:

1. Certificate of Completion (Sample No. 1) shall be issued to Deck/Engine Cadets upon completion of their practicum for the 4 BSCs with accredited training centers under Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with concerned maritime school duly accredited/recognized by CHED.
   
   
2. Certificate of Completion (Sample No. 2) shall be issued to Deck/Engine Cadets upon completion of their practicum for the 3 BSCs (separate PSSR Certificate) with accredited training centers under MOA with concerned maritime school duly accredited/recognized by CHED.

The sizes and texture of the certificate(s) shall be the same with the specifications and sample prescribed in the said MC No. 14, Series of 1997.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
