Effective 01 November 1999, the Department of Health of Taiwan through Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO) requires that all medical certificates for Overseas Filipino Workers bound for Taiwan shall include the test for Marijuana. The TECO will not accept medical certificates, which is a requirement for visa application, without the Marijuana test.
