AN ACT SEPARATING THE PUALAS HIGH SCHOOL ANNEX IN BARANGAY PUALAS, MUNICIPALITY OF TUBOD, LANAO DEL NORTE, FROM THE LANAO DEL NORTE NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY BUALAN, LANAO DEL NORTE, AND CONVERTING THE SAME INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE NEW PUALAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The Pualas High School Annex in Barangay Pualas, Municipality of Tubod, Lanao del Norte, is hereby separated from the Lanao del Norte National Agro-Industrial High School in Bualan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the New Pualas National High School.
SEC. 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 3. The New Pualas High School shall be headed by a principal to be appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. The incumbent teacher-in-charge shall continue to act as such until his appointment shall become final or until his successor shall have been duly appointed and qualified.
SEC. 4. The New Pualas High School shall maintain all the assets, fixed and movable, personnel and records for their continuous and permanent use. The school shall be entitled to receive any allotment intended to support the school's obligations and to augment its operations from the national government or the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.
SEC. 5. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Lanao del Norte National Agro-Industrial High School-Pualas High School Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the New Pualas National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
