[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8667, June 25, 1998 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL AT BARANGAY SALVACION. BAYUGAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR, INTO A NATIONAL GOVERNMENT-FUNDED SECONDARY SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SALVACION NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The high school owned and administered by the Parents-Teachers Association at Barangay Salvacion, Municipality of Bayugan, Province of Agusan Del Sur, is hereby absorbed by the national government and converted into a regular secondary school, under the full control and supervision of the national government through the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to be known as the Salvacion National High School.

SEC. 2. All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the barangay high school are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Salvacion National High School.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
