[ CDA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2007-07-A, June 05, 2007 ]
REVISED CATEGORIZATION OF COOPERATIVES, AS AMENDED
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 6977, otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Small Enterprises, as amended by Republic Act No. 8289, and Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council Resolution No. 01, series of 2003, dated 16 January 2003, the Board of Administrators, this Authority, through Board Resolution No. 127, s-2007, dated May 19, 2007, hereby promulgates the following:
SECTION 1. Categorization of Cooperatives - the cooperatives are hereby categorized as follows:
SECTION 3. Implementation - All offices of this Authority, particularly the Regional Extension Offices, are hereby mandated to categorize cooperatives in accordance with this Memorandum Circular.
SECTION 4. Repealing Clause - All issuances by this Authority that are inconsistent with the provisions of this Memorandum Circular shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 5. Effectivity - This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.

Micro - up to P3,000,000SECTION 2. Basis of Categorization - The categorization of cooperatives shall be based on their total assets, inclusive of those arising from loans but exclusives of the land on which the particular cooperative's office, plant and equipment, if any, are situated.
Small - P3,000,001 -P15,000,000
Medium- P15,000,001 - P100,000,000
Large- P100,000,000 or more
SECTION 3. Implementation - All offices of this Authority, particularly the Regional Extension Offices, are hereby mandated to categorize cooperatives in accordance with this Memorandum Circular.
