WHEREAS, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) is mandated to promulgate standards and guidelines, which shall govern land use plans and zoning ordinances of local governments", pursuant to Section 5 (a) of Executive Order No. 648;

WHEREAS, the Board has updated the Guidelines on the Formulation and Revision of Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs) as part of its continuing efforts to respond to national policy issuances and feedback from LGUs and other stakeholders with the formulation of A Guide to Comprehensive Land Use Data Management.

WHEREAS, RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED to approve THE CLUP GIS GUIDEBOOK, A GUIDE TO COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE DATA MANAGEMENT, as an addition to the existing Land Use Planning Guidelines.
