IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SPECIAL SCIENCE CURRICULUM IN THE NETWORK OF S AND T ORIENTED HIGH SCHOOLS
1. The Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (SEI-DOST), in cooperation with the Bureau of Secondary Education of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BSE-DECS), is implementing the Special Science Curriculum in the Network of 110 S and T Oriented High Schools in the First Year Level beginning SY 1993-1994.
2. In support to the special science curriculum, SEI-DOST shall provide the additional/enrichment materials for S and T I and Mathematics I-S and a textbook for Earth Science.
3. An evaluation test shall be given to the incoming first year students to determine those who will be included in the special science classes.
4. Attached are the lists of the 110 S and T Oriented High Schools and the Special Science Curriculum.*
5. To facilitate coordination and successful implementation of the said curriculum, the principals of the network schools and other persons involved are hereby requested to extend full support and cooperation.
6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
