IMPLEMENTATION OF THE REVISED RULES ON THE ISSUANCE OF ENHANCED SEAFARER'S IDENTIFICATION AND RECORD BOOK (SIRB)



With respect to MARINA Memorandum Circular No. 2008-04 on the Revised Rules on the Issuance of Enhanced Seafarer's Identification and Record Book (SIRB), implementation of some of the provisions of the above MC are temporarily deferred/suspended due to the following reasons, to wit;

1. Fees and Charges-Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 132 dated 19 June 2007 requires that implementation of all new fees and increase of fees shall have the approval by the NEDA Board.

2. Revalidation of SIRB -Considering the limited number of booklets available on hand, SIRB with available pages can be revalidated.

This Flag State Administration Advisory shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed lifted when the above-mentioned condition has been addressed.
