[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8819, August 22, 2000 ]
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAYMALINAO, CITY OF GINGOOG, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE MALINAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Malinao, Gingoog City, Province of Misamis Oriental to be known as the Malinao National High School.
SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) shall take the necessary steps for the establishment of the school so as to make it fully operational during the school term immediately following the effectivity of this Act.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 16, 2000 and June 8, 2000, respectively.
