[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8820, August 22, 2000 ]
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY LINAO IN ORMOC CITY, PROVINCE OF LEYTE TO BE KNOWN AS THE LINAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Linao in the City of Ormoc in the Province of Leyte to be known as the Linao National High School under the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.
SEC. 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on April 4, 1999 and June 8, 2000, respectively.
